The Columbia Informatics Affiliates Program promotes closer ties between the Department of Biomedical Informatics (DBMI) and Center for Computational Biology and Bioinformatics (C2B2) and industry leaders in technical areas served by the respective CAIM groups. IAP membership allows industry scientists to utilize the expertise and facilities at Columbia by, for example, participating in close working arrangements and internships. Three member categories are available — new, associate, and senior — and are based on Affiliates size and/or maturity. Benefits include reduced costs for short courses and other events, and may be customized to the company’s needs.
