A part of the CAT mission is to provide specialized training to support the technical workforce in New York State. In addition to attendance in graduate and post doctoral degree programs, workers can gain knowledge in CAT areas of expertise available through special short courses and seminars. Started in 2005, the short course program offers an intense (up to 5-day) offering in Biomedical Informatics. Other topics of interest are planned. See calendar of events for the latest offerings. [LINK] In addition, a non-CAT offering for an executive model Master of Science degree program in Biomedical Informatics has been approved and will be offered for the first time in fall 2006.
